We would choose Elaine Melby to be our realtor all over again. Though the circumstances were challenging and the market difficult, Elaine found a way to get our house SOLD. Since we were living 600 miles away at the time of the sale, getting things done at our property was difficult if not impossible. Elaine stepped in to take care of problems and used her ingenuity to tackle issues with our house. She truly went the extra mile, and for that, we are grateful. She was always kind and communicated clearly concerning the house, pricing, the current market, pricing changes and contract negotiations. No I don't have a writers block but I think I have made it quite plain how we feel about Elaine & her high standard as a real estate agent.

We worked with Elaine Melby on both the purchase and the sale of our home in Carterville. In both cases she educated us, kept us informed and advocated for us to a degree that I've never seen before or imagined. She used her knowledge of the home sales industry to alert us to things we never could have known on our own and helped to make sure that things were done correctly and to our advantage, even when it meant more work and hassle for her.

She was tenacious about spotting and staying on top of potential issues/snags at all stages of the sale and making sure that they were addressed and resolved. She is passionate about protecting her clients, and is able to do that effectively with complete professionalism, honesty, and respect for all parties involved.

She has a superb understanding of the market and the savvy to know how to price, market, stage and show a house for quick sale, and on the other side, to negotiate as a buyer.
